Q. Are you open during the Covid-19 pandemic?
A. Yes, we are open for pick-your-own and pre-picked sweet cherries and sour cherries, however we require our guests to follow our pandemic policies to keep everyone safe. Please click here for details.
Q. Do you have time set aside for seniors and those with compromised immune systems?
A. Yes, we encourage seniors to visit the farm on weekdays or early in the morning on weekends (8-9am) to avoid the crowds.
Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
A. We accept cash, Interact e-mail money transfer (EMT), and Debit.
Q. When are sweet cherries and sour cherries ready?
A. July is cherry season but the dates change every year depending on the weather. Please visit our pick-your-own cherries page frequently for updates.
Q. When are your less busy times?
A. You can avoid the crowds by visiting the farm in the morning (generally before 10am on weekends) or on weekdays. We are open 8am – 7pm daily during harvest. Please click here for picking conditions.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Dogs on a leash with their owner are allowed in the parking lot. Dogs are not allowed in the orchard for health and safety reasons.
Q. Do you allow picnics on the farm?
A. No. We encourage you to picnic at Charles Daley Park, on Lake Ontario, before visiting the farm. It’s less than a 5 minute drive from the farm and has a beautiful view of the lake.
Q. How long can we stay at the farm?
A. Our guests have 1.5 hours in the orchard to fill their baskets. We do not allow lawn chairs in the orchard.
Q. Do you have washrooms on the farm?
A. We only have port-a-potties (with sinks for washing hands), so we recommend stopping to use the washroom before you visit the farm.
Q. Do you book bus tours?
A. We are no longer accomodating bus tours due to covid-19.
Q. What is the best way to store cherries so they last longer?
A. The best way to store cherries is unwashed in the refrigerator. Wash cherries right before you eat them, but not before you store them, as washing affects the natural cuticle of the cherry skin and will cause them to spoil faster.
Q. Do we need to book ahead?
A. If your group is 25 people or more, then we prefer that you book with us by email or Facebook messenger. Groups of fewer than 25 people do not need to book ahead of time.
